North Middlesex Golf Club Academy

Building strong foundations for beginners and improvers

Here at North Middlesex we are dedicated to improving golfers and giving those who are new to the game the best chance of enjoyment. Our tried and tested Academy structure allows new golfers to learn the basics of the game in a relaxed atmosphere as well as give them limited access to our wonderful course. With a maximum of 6 attendees per course we are able to offer the right amount of time and guidance to improve you as a golfer. The cost of Academy Membership is £150.

What is included?

Included in our academy membership is the following;

  1. Welcome session: This provides a great opportunity for you to meet our PGA professional as well as other members on the Academy Course.
  2. 7 bi weekly lessons offering you flexibility. Lessons are held every Saturday at 1pm and every Wednesday at 12 noon. The lesson structure is as follows:
    Week 1 Set Up
    Week 2 Pitching
    Week 3 Putting
    Week 4 Chipping
    Week 5 Bunker
    Week 6 Full Swing
    Week 7 Course/Etiquette
  3. Use of the Club's practice facilities in between lesson times
  4. Free Social Membership allowing you 15% discount on drinks behind the bar plus added benefits.

What you need to bring?

If you don’t have equipment then that is fine as we can provide clubs and balls for your lessons. Just bring some comfortable shoes to wear (trainers or similar) and we will provide the rest. The only thing we politely ask is for no denim jeans to be worn.

What happens after the academy? What next?

Upon completion of the course you should have all the skills you need in order to play and enjoy the game. Our PGA professional Freddy will assess you, and upon his recommendation you will have access to the first 4 holes Monday and Tuesday as well as after 3.30pm on Sundays. We find that many of our Academy members, once they feel the ‘golf bug’, aim to progress further and so we have the opportunity to fast track to our Academy Plus or Flexible Membership options.
